وعلى لسان الفنان / على سيد والفنانة أن الزعبى انقل ما تم سرده من قبلهم وبناء على ما وصل إلى علمهم ومروا بيه من أزمة فى الملتقى ومنع بعض الفنانين العرب من العرض لوحاتهم فى الملتقى الابداعى بدار الأوبرا المصرية
بيان توضيحي لأصدقائي الفنانين والوسط الفني والاعلامي
حرصًا منا على الشفافية واحترامًا لكل الفنانين والزملاء والإعلاميين الذين اهتموا بما جرى مؤخرًا، أجد نفسي مضطرًا لتوضيح حقيقة ما حدث بخصوص ملتقي مصر الدولي للفنون في دورتة الخامسة عشر بمركز الهناجر للفنون قاعة ادم حنين في الفترة من ٢٧ يناير الي ١ فبراير ٢٠٢٦
تقدمت في شهر اغسطس الماضي ٢٠٢٥ بطلب رسمي لإقامة معرض جماعي بقاعة آدم حنين التابعة لمركز الهناجر للفنون التابعة لقطاع المسرح وتم استيفاء جميع الإجراءات والمستندات المطلوبة، ثم تم إخطارنا تلفونيا بتحديد موعد المعرض في الفترة من 25 يناير 2026 حتى 30 يناير 2026، وفقًا للخريطة الزمنية المعتمدة من مركز الهناجر
مرت الإجراءات بمراحل متعددة من موافقات فنية علي اعمال الفنانين ومالية ، كما تم — بناءً على طلب السيد/ احمد خشبة مدير مكتب الاستاذ/ هشام عطوة رئيس قطاع المسرح — إرسال بيانات وصور جوازات سفر الفنانين العرب المشاركين، وهم فنانون بعضهم من خارج مصر وبعضهم مقيم داخل جمهورية مصر العربية بإقامة رسمية قانونية وسارية. وسألني عن اسماء الدول المشاركة فذكرتها لة فقال كل هذة الدول صديقة ومافيش مشاكل دة اجراء روتيني
وقبل موعد الافتتاح بأقل من ٢٠ يوما ، فوجئنا باتصال تلفوني من السيد/ احمد خشبة بالغاء المعرض أو تأجيله لشهر ابريل .امر غير منطقي نظرا لان الفنانين العرب تم حجز تذاكر الطيران والاقامة بالفندق علي موعد ٢٥ يناير فقال لي انتظر مني تلفون غدا واتصل في اليوم التالي واخبرنا ان تم تأجيل المعرض ليوم ٢٧ يناير بدلا من ٢٥ يناير وافقنا علي هذا الموعد ثم اتصل بي الاستاذ احمد خشبة يوم ١٠ يناير واخبرنا أن الموافقة الامنية لم تصل الي الان .ولكن علي حد تعبيرة ان هناك حل سحري وسريع طالما الفنانة آن الزعبي اردنية ومقيمة بمصر وهي معك رئيسة ملتقي تقوم السفارة الاردنية بالقاهرة بمخاطبة وزارة الثقافة قطاع الشؤن الثقافية والخارجية بطلب من الفنانة آن الزعبي
وعلي كلام الاستاذ احمد خشبة ان لو السفارة هي من خاطبت وزارة الثقافة قطاع الشؤن الثقافية سوف ينتهي الموضوع في ساعات قليلة وفعلا في اليوم التالي صدر خطاب من السفارة الاردنية بالقاهرة بتاريخ ١١ يناير ووصل لقطاع الشؤن الثقافية والخارجية التابعة لوزارة الثقافة في نفس اليوم ١١ يناير ، ثم اتصل بي الاستاذ احمد خشبة ٢٥ يناير قبل الافتتاح بيومين وطلب تغير صيغة الخطاب الصادر من السفارة الاردنية بالرغم من ان المستشار الاعلامي للسفارة الاردنية بالقاهرة تواصل مع السيد احمد خشبة واتفقو علي صيغة الخطاب ثم اتصل امامي من داخل مكتبة بالشؤن الثقافية والخارجية بالعاصمة الادارية بالاستاذة امل عبد الجابر واخذ منها الصيغة المطلوبة وكتبها بالقلم الرصاص بخط يدة واخبرها بأن ملف المعرض كامل وبة موافقة قطاع الفنون والموافقة المالية (رسوم القاعة ١١ الف جنية)والموافقة الامنية وقالت لة خلاص كل الموافقات موجودة وبناءا علية غيرنا صيغة الخطاب من السفارة الاردنية
وسلمناة باليد بالشؤن الثقافية كما ان السفارة الاردنية ارسلتة عن طريق الاميل
وفي الساعة العاشرة والنصف مساء يوم ٢٦ يناير قبل الافتتاح بساعات اتصل بي الاستاذ احمد خشبة واخبرنا بصدور قرار بالسماح بمشاركة الفنانين المصريين فقط، ورفض مشاركة الفنانين العرب، رغم وصول الفنانين العرب لمصر
طبعا كان خبر صادم للفنانين العرب
واحتواء منا للأزمة تم حجز قاعة طيف بكلية التربية النوعية ليعرض بها الفنانين العرب يوم ٢٨ يناير
ويوم ٢٧ يناير بمركز الهناجر للفنانين المصرين فقط
وبناءا علية تقدمت اليوم بشكوتين
الاولي لمعالي وزير الثقافة
الثانية لرئيس قطاع الشؤن الثقافية والخارجية
للتحقيق في ما حدث ومن المتسبب فية
بناءا علية تؤكد ادارة ملتقي مصر الدولي عدة امور
١- مركز الهناجر للفنون قاعة ادم حنين ليس لها علاقة بادارة دار الاوبرا المصرية بل هي تابعة لقطاع المسرح
٢- دار الاوبرا المصرية ستظل مركز اشعاع ثقافي وفني ومنارة للثقافة والفنون نفتخر بيها جميعا
٣- ستظل مصر حاضنة للفنانين العرب وللفن التشكيلي واخيرا نتوجة بأعتذارنا الصادق لكل فنان تضرر نفسيًا أو معنويًا مما حدث، وأؤكد أننا لم ولن نكون طرفًا في أي تمييز أو إقصاء، وأن مسيرتنا الفنية تشهد على إيماننا الدائم بحرية الإبداع والتبادل الثقافي بين الشعوب.
هذا البيان ليس لتبرير موقف، بل لوضع الحقائق كاملة ، احترامًا للفن، وللتاريخ، ولكل من وثق فينا

I was honored to attend the 15th Egypt International Forum at the Egyptian Opera House, Hanager Arts Center, Adam Henein Hall.
On the authority of artist Ali Sayed and artist Ann El-Zaabi, I am conveying their account of the crisis they experienced at the forum, including the barring of some Arab artists from exhibiting their paintings at the creative event at the Egyptian Opera House.
A Clarification Statement to My Artist Friends and the Artistic and Media Community
Out of our commitment to transparency and respect for all the artists, colleagues, and media professionals who have been interested in recent events, I feel compelled to clarify the facts regarding the 15th Egypt International Arts Forum at the Hanager Arts Center, Adam Henein Hall, from January 27th to February 1st, 2026.
Last August 2025, I submitted a formal request to hold a group exhibition at the Adam Henein Hall, which is part of the Hanager Arts Center under the Theater Sector. All required procedures and documents were completed, and we were subsequently notified by phone that the exhibition would begin on January 25th. From 2026 until January 30, 2026, according to the timeline approved by the Hanager Center, the procedures went through multiple stages of technical and financial approvals for the artists’ works. Also, based on the request of Mr. Ahmed Khashaba, Director of the Office of Mr. Hisham Atwa, Head of the Theater Sector, the data and passport photos of the participating Arab artists were sent. Some of them are artists from outside Egypt, and some of them are residents within the Arab Republic of Egypt with a valid and legal official residency. He asked me about the names of the participating countries, and when I told him, he said, “All these countries are friendly, and there are no problems; this is a routine procedure.” Less than 20 days before the opening, we were surprised by a phone call from Mr. Ahmed Khashaba informing us that the exhibition was either canceled or postponed until April. This was illogical, given that the Arab artists had already booked their flights and hotel accommodations for January 25th. He told me to expect a call the following day, and when he did, he informed us that the exhibition had been postponed to January 27th instead of January 25th. We agreed to this date. Then, on January 10th, Mr. Ahmed Khashaba called me again and told us that the security approval had not yet arrived. However, he claimed there was a quick and magical solution: since the artist, Ann Al-Zoubi, was Jordanian and resided in Egypt, and she was the head of the forum, the Jordanian Embassy in Cairo would contact the Ministry of Culture’s Cultural and Foreign Affairs Sector at the request of Ms. Al-Zoubi. According to Mr. Ahmed Khashaba, if the embassy contacted the Ministry of Culture’s Cultural Affairs Sector, the matter would be resolved in a few hours. Indeed, the following day, a letter was issued by the Jordanian Embassy. In Cairo on January 11th, the letter arrived at the Cultural and Foreign Affairs Sector of the Ministry of Culture on the same day. Then, on January 25th, two days before the opening, Mr. Ahmed Khashaba contacted me and requested a change to the wording of the letter issued by the Jordanian Embassy. This was despite the fact that the media advisor of the Jordanian Embassy in Cairo had already contacted Mr. Khashaba and they had agreed on the wording. He then called Ms. Amal Abdel Gaber from his office at the Cultural and Foreign Affairs Sector in the New Administrative Capital, obtained the required wording from her, and wrote it down in pencil by hand. He informed her that the exhibition file was complete, including approval from the Arts Sector, financial approval (the hall fees were 11,000 Egyptian pounds), and security clearance. She confirmed that all approvals were in place, and based on this, we changed the wording of the letter from the Jordanian Embassy.
We hand-delivered it to the Cultural Affairs Sector, and the Jordanian Embassy also sent it via email.
At 10:30 PM on January 26th, just hours before the opening, Mr. Ahmed Khashaba called me again and informed us that a decision had been made to allow the participation of only Egyptian artists, rejecting the participation of Arab artists, even though the Arab artists had already arrived in Egypt. This was shocking news for Arab artists. To contain the crisis, we reserved the Taif Hall at the Faculty of Specific Education for Arab artists to perform on January 28th, and the Hanager Arts Center on January 27th for Egyptian artists only. Accordingly, I submitted two complaints today: the first to His Excellency the Minister of Culture, and the second to the Head of the Cultural and Foreign Affairs Sector, requesting an investigation into what happened and who was responsible. Therefore, the management of the Egypt International Forum affirms several points: 1- The Hanager Arts Center, Adam Henein Hall, is not affiliated with the Egyptian Opera House; it belongs to the Theater Sector.
2- The Egyptian Opera House will remain a center of cultural and artistic influence, a beacon of culture and the arts that we are all proud of.
3- Egypt will remain a haven for Arab artists and visual arts. Finally, we extend our sincere apologies to every artist who was psychologically or morally harmed by what happened. I emphasize that we have never been, and will never be, a party to any discrimination or exclusion, and our artistic journey testifies to our unwavering belief in freedom of expression and cultural exchange between peoples. This statement is not intended to justify a position, but to present the complete facts, out of respect for art, history, and all those who have placed their trust in us.
